Construction Waste Management

Environmental Waste Controls can deliver a full-service construction waste management plan for your business, helping to reduce construction waste, hazardous waste, and more.

Waste Management

Reliable construction waste disposal services

Most UK waste companies simply empty bins on construction sites. At EWC, we do things differently. Our construction waste management services involve everything around the bin, too, by:

  • Supplying the compactors and balers for your site
  •  Collecting every waste stream you produce, including hazardous materials
  • Processing and recycling everything at our own licensed Materials Recycling Facility (MRF)
  • Reporting on every tonne of waste generated through our online system

Plus, if anything breaks, we have mobile engineers who can respond to your construction site within 48 hours.

Full-service waste management for construction projects

We provide all our clients with a detailed six-part service that’s tailored to the size and waste profile of their site.

  • Equipment – We can provide balers, compactors, hook-lift vehicles and bins, all sized perfectly to your site. These are available to rent or purchase, new or refurbished.
  • Recyclable construction materials – Every recyclable material is handled, sorted and processed at our licensed MRF,  maximising your recycling rate.
  • Staffing – We can provide trained operators if required. They’re experts in terms of operating compaction equipment and managing on-site waste flow.
  • Disposal of construction and demolition – We ensure compliant, traceable disposal of all construction waste collections. A full waste transfer document is included as standard.
  • Haulage – Unlike some major UK companies, we possess our own fleet of vehicles. This means we don’t use third-party hauliers, and there are no missed collections.
  • Online reporting – We create a digital dashboard that shows every tonne collected, recycled or diverted, all ready for your reporting.

Safe removal of construction waste materials in four easy steps

We ensure there’s no drawn-out procurement, and we keep all disposal costs transparent. Here’s exactly how a new contract goes from enquiry to operational:

  • Free site survey – Our team will visit your site, discuss your waste flow, and identify what equipment and collection frequency works for you.
  • Tailored proposal – You’ll receive a clear proposal, complete with equipment, collections, reporting and waste disposal costs, with no hidden charges or vague pricing.
  • Equipment install – If new equipment is needed for mixed construction waste, we deliver, install and train your team. Live service usually starts within 2-4 weeks.
  • Ongoing support – Your dedicated account manager handles everything from here. Reporting goes live, and mobile engineers can respond within 48 hours for any breakdowns and issues.

Why choose EWC for a site waste management plan

Nationwide waste management companies use franchised collection networks. However, EWC operates its own MRF and fleet, and offers a single-team service from Knowsley.

Here are four reasons why you should choose us to manage your construction waste:

  • 30+ years of experience – We were founded in 1993 and have been running commercial waste contracts longer than many of our competitors. We know the industry, and we’ve perfected our service.
  • One account manager – You’ll receive a contact who knows your site. No call centres and queued phone calls. The people who answer your phone are the people who run the contract.
  • Our own MRF – Most waste companies subcontract recycling to third parties. We operate our own Materials Recovery Facility, so all your recyclables stay with EWC. That means you can trace everything and there are no broken chains.
  • Our own fleet – We own our own vehicles, which means there’s no franchise network, no agency drivers and no missed collections.
