Waste transport

At Environmental Waste Controls, we provide reliable waste transport across the North West, Midlands and North Wales. Our specialist fleet is owner-operated and includes hook-lift collections, Hiab deliveries, skip and compactor movements. All waste transport equipment is operated by EWC’s own drivers in our own vehicles, not subcontracted out, so you can rest assured we’ll provide exceptional service.

Four core waste transport services

Our waste transport service covers four main capability areas, each delivered by our own drivers using our own vehicles.

Hook-lift collections

Our largest fleet capability, with nine dedicated hook-lift vehicles operating roll-on/roll-off skips and compactors via a hydraulic arm. We offer both scheduled and on-demand collections across the region.

Skip collections

We offer open-topped waste skip movement for project sites, ongoing contracts, and one-off clearances. We provide empty and full collection services across the North West, Midlands and North Wales.

Hiab delivery & offload

This is a specialist capability at EWC. We provide flatbed transport with a hydraulic crane, meaning we can lift, haul and deliver heavy goods to your site with a single vehicle. This is particularly useful for sites without their own forklift or with limited access for standard delivery vehicles.

Arctic and trailer haulage

We possess tractor units and semi-trailer combinations (typically curtain-siders) for larger or specialist loads that need full articulated haulage. This particular waste transport service is designed for shipments above standard skip or hook-lift capacity.

Typical EWC transport customers

Our waste transport service is used by a variety of customers, from councils running Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRC) to manufacturing operations and private businesses.

HWRC and council sites

Council-operated Household Waste Recycling Centres need scheduled or on-demand collection for containers and material movement. We have vast experience dealing with HWRCs and can provide an exceptional service to your site.

Other recycling firms

Other waste management companies also require our specialist waste transport services. This includes hook-lift movements and Hiab offloads.

Manufacturing and private sites

Manufacturing operations and private businesses also require regular collections, specialist offloading and one-off project haulage services.

Why choose EWC for waste transport contracts

At EWC, we’ve been supplying reliable waste transport services in the North West of England for almost 30 years. We’ve found that our clients care about three things: reliability, capability, and compliance.

EWC delivers on all three counts. Here are three key factors why our clients continue to work alongside us.

Owner-operated fleet

We own and operate all of our own vehicles. That means we don’t rely on subcontractors or agency drivers. The team that wins your waste transport contract is the one that delivers it.

Specialist vehicle types

We have a host of specialist vehicles, including nine hook-lift vehicles, Hiabs for flatbed and crane deliveries, and vehicles capable of arctic and trailer jobs. We ensure we always have the correct vehicle for the job at hand, always delivering for you when you need us.

Fully accredited

EWC is a fully-accredited company with ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) accreditations. We also possess a full O-Licence for our fleet with procurement-grade compliance built in.
